The Cart is the story of a regular shopping cart that gets taken from a it’s home at the local grocery store only to intersect with several lives. In each life The Cart touches it is seen and utilized differently, but always a valued necessity. A short film starring the incomparable veteran star of stage and screen Ernest Thomas, best known as “Raj” from What’s Happening!, Mr. Thomas lends his talents to my short film in the role of “Hal”. Promo for the Flight Squad Basketball team. The Flight Squad is an exhibition basketball team traveling the US hosting fundraising and charity events for local communities. Our challenge was to present them as a professional sophisticated basketball team, like those of the NBA, while still maintaining the light-hearted family friendly sportsmen, by which they are know. We successfully married the two aspects of this project by presenting a dark moody atmosphere in which the players are seen, while highlighting some the players tricks and stunts.
